Who We Are
Welcome to the Ethiopian Evangelical Church in Philadelphia (EECP). We are a Christ-centered church committed to reaching members of the Ethiopian and Eritrean community with the salvation, wholeness and healing found in Christ.
EECP was first started as a fellowship by a small number of Ethiopian immigrants in 1980's. Since then, it has grown and evolved into a church serving adults, youth, and children of Ethiopian/Eritrean/American heritage.
This church is connected with and subordinate to its parent organization the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA or CMA).

What We Believe
The Bible is the sovereign Word of God and every word of it can be taken as absolute truth.
That there is salvation in no one else except in the Lord Jesus; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.
The preaching of the full gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all nations.
Baptism in water following the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit to receive power for service.
The manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for every believer.
The priesthood of all believers.
That the Lord gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for their work of ministry.
The maturing of the saints to the full stature of Christ through the proper working of each individual member of the Body.
